MOULTING! (a.k.a Hairy Epic FAIL)

James Lancett. Collaboration. 1 day project.

'Your hair grows approximately 6inches a year...'

Our idea was based upon a retelling of the tale of Rupunzel. We set out to produce a 30 second feature length film, when we usually have 5weeks to make 20seconds of animation!
This is working progress.

Big Mo & Fat Sam's Big Top!

For Handmade & Bound this year, Good-Friend Sam and I collaborated on a fanzine, based on a circus theme. It was a nice procrastination from our busy illustration/animation projects. Everything is screenprinted, even the business cards. All in all took us 3 days to produce.
If you would like one, please get in touch, we'd be happy to swap for something of the same calibre or for a small fee.

Einstein

A short animation based on an inspirational quote by Einstein. No narrative. No characters. Experimental film making where text and image has to relate to the quote. The sounds and animation are both composed in after effects. The crit went well. I want to introduce 3D layers and interesting camera angles, at the moment its too flat.
Enjoy!

Summer Project

3 short animations. Brief: design a simple human character that interacts with an insect in 3 out of 5 of the following ways; LIFT, jump, FALL, run, DRAG.
The quality isn't very good. I would like to merge them into one narrative, incorporate sound and reshoot.

Happy Birthday Mum!

A simple card I made yesterday and gave today. It features my brothers Vincent (15) and Jason (9), as well as myself. 5hours of Criminal Justice was on in the background, so good!

1st year Final Major Project

Pages from my sketchbook/final piece on the theme of 'Chinatown'. I was reflecting upon what it meant to me, being British Born Chinese.
