No Beyoncé, if I were a boy, I would do this

go ape in space

The first monkey astronaut was named Albert. The second monkey astronaut was, imaginatively, called Albert II. While Albert II was technically the first monkey to reach space altitude, it wasn't until the fifth line in the Albert dynasty (Albert V), that a monkey successfully returned from space. Unfortunately for Albert V, his parachute let him down and he became another victim of the human space race.

2nd year final major project. Hand-drawn animation about a monkey alone in space. Based on one of the many animals who didn't return safely back to Earth.

Chun Hei Cheng

Surprising and playful.
Bringing surreal imagination to real life.

"I am motivated by the combination of sound and image,
where ideas are expressed in between meaning and abstraction.
This media is projecting a truly international language.
It allows me to see with both my eyes and my ears."

TYPE

uses a wide range of techniques, including cut-outs, rostrum, multiplane and super-8 animation.
inspired by his love of educational diagrams and the way we interpret the world.

Since graduating he has made 3 films:
  1. Annotate (cineworks)
  2. The Atomists (Bridging the gap)
  3. A Stem Cell Story

These films contain a lot of animated diagrams,
but he has moved more towards documantary
and a hybrid of animation and live action.
